About...

Hello. I am here to share about the things I create, things I love, things I dislike, sometimes just life in general, and sometimes just to post pictures of my amazingly adorable cats.  But mostly about the things I create.

I originally started this blog to share mostly about the handcrafted accessories and vintage-style birdcage veil patterns that I sell online in my Etsy shop.  My friend described those handmade pieces as "what happens when birds marry flowers." I like that description very much.

It evolved from there... I occasionally get to stage and style photos shoots.  It's incredibly fun to take someone's ideas and bring them to life.  My super talented friends in Elk & Boar even let me dress them up in nostalgic costumes and direct their music video.  I also get to help plan events - The Seattle Vintage Wedding Fair and Glitter Haus are a couple very special events I'm honored to be a part of.

Now I take photos and make art.  It's everything to me, and all I've ever (really) wanted to do, creatively speaking.  I still create wearables for use in my photos and art installations, but creating crafts and tutorials has taken a back seat to art and photography for the time being.  You can still find the patterns for veils and fascinators in my Etsy shop. But please stop by and check out my work at sarahbsmithart.com and sarahbethsmithphotography.com.

Hope you enjoy your stay and get to know me a little better.  Thanks for stopping by!
