So - in the holiday spirit and to say thanks, I'm giving away one of my little decorative hats!
It's a sweet silvery crushed velvet number, complete with sleigh bell, accented with some yummy pleated ribbon and frosty millinery bits. Certainly cute enough to decorate with (perhaps adorning a wreath or mantle?) most definitely fun to wear!!! Two little alligator clips are attached to the bottom of the hat for hair or anywhere...

Sew, Mama, Sew Giveaway Day! |
When I got married, it was on Valentines Day. At our reception, my husband gave me a box of chocolates. I thought, ok, sweet...and he kept insisting I eat a piece. I just ate a huge dinner, had about 50lbs of bow on my backside and I don't think I could eat a piece of chocolate...but I opened the box and inside he had removed some of the candy and put a beautiful watch inside. Very sweet...
ReplyDeleteLove the hat! I know right where I'd display it in my house (in my sewing room!)
My birthday is valentine's day and when I was 13 or 14, some friends of the family came over and made a heart in candles in the snow and surprised me. Their thoughtfulness was one of the most meaningful things I've ever received.
ReplyDeleteWhat a darling hat! The most meaningful gifts I have received have been the little ones that you don't expect. We received a box from a friend who lives halfway across the country, full of cookies and homemade goodies. That was wonderful.
ReplyDeleteThe hat is so cute
ReplyDeleteas for the most meaningful gift, I think it was a quilt my mom made for me.
Thank you for considering us for your give away.
What a beautiful top hat, I would love to be entered into your giveaway! My most meaningful gift was presented to me by my husband a few days before Christmas 9 years ago. I awoke at 2:00 a.m. to the sound of barking; he had found a stray puppy at work and had brought him home to me on the train engine (he is a train engineer). Our 'puppy' is now a 140 pound lap dog who is the love of my life (after my husband of course :O). Thanks so much for the opportunity to win your beautiful top hat and wishing you and yours a very Merry Christmas! Deb
ReplyDeleteMany years ago my son made a video of pictures of me - from childhood thru adult... He wouldn't let me in his room for weeks while he worked on it so I was very suspicious. But when we all watched the video together, I couldn't have been more proud of him and so touched by all his work.

This is a hard question - I'm gone back into study in my 40s and some of my tuition fee has been paid as a gift.
ReplyDeleteI'm a new follower! I saw this hat and almost fell out of my chair! My granddaughter does pageants and dresses as a silver snowman. This hat is the perfect finishing touch!
ReplyDeleteMy favorite gift was just recently when my 4 year old grandson gave me homemade card that he had written Happy Thanksgiving on and signed his name. By himself. It really said "HppT gnivigsknTha" (he ran out of room on the page and had to go the other way! LOL) But I loved it and will save it forever!! Thanks for such a beautiful giveaway!

My parents, my husband's parents, the seller, and the relator. Everyone had to talk with each other and make compromises for it all to work out but it happened!!! Now my children, husband, and I have a nice place to live. laoul1 at gmail dot com.

Before my husband left for a second deployment less than 6 months after getting back from the previous one, he bought me a huge, down body pillow so I wouldn't be so lonely in bed. I don't think I've slept a night without it on any deployment since.
ReplyDeleteAlso, I'm a new follower. I'm glad I found you through the giveaway day listings. :)
My husband. It isn't every day that you are given the heart of your best friend to keep for the rest of your life.

The most meaningful gift I have ever gotten was my wedding vows! They meant more to me than any material thing.
ReplyDeleteMy husband gave me my engagement ring on Christmas in 1997.
ReplyDeleteWow. So gorgeous.
ReplyDeleteThe most meaningful gift I received was from my husband. It was our very first Christmas as a couple, and we had been together for less than 2 months (and friends for about 4). He gave me a framed sketch of myself that he had made. 12 Christmases later, it is hanging on the wall above where we put our tree each year, and it is still so amazing.

ReplyDeleteMy mother gave me my sewing machine for my 18th birthday. she died when I was twenty and that gift still means so much to me. She must have seen a skill in me that I didnt know was there yet because I had never been taught to sew. I use it all the time, sniffle....
